What You'll Do

• ▸ Lead and mentor a team of 8-12 engineers
• ▸ Conduct one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development
• ▸ Collaborate with product and design on planning and execution
• ▸ Drive engineering practices, standards, and quality
• ▸ Manage sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery
• ▸ Remove blockers and optimize team velocity
• ▸ Participate in hiring and onboarding
• ▸ Contribute to technical architecture decisions

What We're Looking For

• ▸ 5+ years software engineering experience
• ▸ 2+ years people management experience
• ▸ Strong technical background across the stack
• ▸ Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• ▸ Excellent communication and leadership skills
• ▸ Track record of growing and retaining engineering talent
• ▸ Experience managing remote or distributed teams
• ▸ Ability to balance technical debt with feature delivery

Nice to Have

• ▸ Experience managing teams across African countries
• ▸ Background in cloud or enterprise software
• ▸ Knowledge of engineering career frameworks
• ▸ Experience with engineering culture building
