Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

Build end-to-end web applications for African enterprises, startups, and governments. Work across the entire stack from React/Next.js frontends to Node.js/Python backends, designing systems that serve millions across the continent.

What You'll Do

• ▸ Design and implement scalable full-stack applications
• ▸ Build RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• ▸ Develop responsive frontends using React/TypeScript
• ▸ Collaborate with product and design teams
• ▸ Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• ▸ Optimize for low-bandwidth and mobile-first African markets
• ▸ Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• ▸ Participate in architecture decisions and technical planning

What We're Looking For

• ▸ 5+ years full-stack experience
• ▸ Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node.js or Python
• ▸ Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases
• ▸ Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• ▸ Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• ▸ Experience building applications for African or emerging markets preferred
• ▸ Excellent communication skills in English
• ▸ BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• ▸ Experience with Next.js or Remix
• ▸ Familiarity with mobile development
• ▸ Contributions to open-source projects
• ▸ Experience with microservices architecture
